How to quickly enter Edit Mode ?

  1. Select a single pose on the timeline
  2. Use the Edit Mode hotkey by clicking Ctrl + E

How to change the selected axis of rotation ?

  1. Select the limb you wish to rotate by clicking with the mouse
  2. Click the right mouse button within the 3D window to switch between X, Y & Z axis

How to apply a blend transition ?

  1. Right click on the blue blend line which appears between 2 motions/keyposes
  2. From the pop-up menu select one of the 4 blending types: Linear, Ease-in, Ease-out and Curve

How to view the entire timeline ?

If you have a lot of content on the timeline, you can click the view all button to view the entire timeline. In this mode you cannot edit the timeline; however you can playback, preview single motions or quickly locate an area you wish to edit.

How to Ripple (move multiple items on the timeline) ?

  1. Select the first items in the timeline you want to move
  2. Hold down the Alt+Shift keys, press the left mouse button and drag to the desired location
  3. All content in the timeline after the selected motion/keypose will also be moved

How to change the playback speed of a motion ?

  1. Highlight the end of the motion
  2. The mouse cursor will become an arrow shape, hold down the left mouse button and drag to the desired location
    Note: Shortening the motion length will increase the playback speed; increasing the length will slow the motion playback speed.

How to preview a selected area ?

  1. To select an area within the timeline, place the cue-in & cue-out markers
  2. Within the timeline right-click where you wish to begin your selected area, then select set cue-in mark
  3. Right-click where you wish to end your selected area, then select set cue-out mark
  4. To playback the highlighted area, click the Play Selected button

How to preview a motion ?

Double click the motion clip, a pop-up window will appear and the motion will playback within it.

How to jump to previous/next material in the timeline ?

To move to the previous item in the timeline, click Page Up; to move to the next item in the timeline, click Page Down.

How to align 2 motions to stop sliding ?

  1. Highlight the second motion/keypose in the timeline
  2. Right click, in the pop-up menu select Align, then choose the limb you want to align from the list
